Rosario is a lonely laundromat worker in 90s Los Angeles. Her only source of joy is tuning in to her favorite talent show on TV every night.

 

One day, she discovers a portal in an enchanted washing machine that leads her to the TV show's set where she must dethrone her idol, survive the sinister competition, and win the cash prize to save her family from eviction.
